EIHC in Sanok
SANOK - Polish National Team is the host of Euro Ice Hockey Challenge in Sanok, November 2010. We are going to play against strong teams: Russia, Ukraine and Netherlands. Poland is currently on 22nd position in IIHF World Ranking.
During last World Championship Division I in Ljubljana we lost against Slovenia and Hungary and won against Great Britain, Croatia and South Korea.
Polish Team is composed of young players (Malasinski, Wajda, Dziubinski) and experienced ones (Laszkiewicz, Klys, Csorich). Since August 2010 Polish National Team played 11 games. We won 6 times. One of the best performance was against France in September. In this game we played ice hockey at very high level, showed very good technical skills, team-work and won 5-1.
We know very well participants of EIHC in Sanok. Against Ukraine we played four times previous season and we'll meet during World Championship 2011 IB in Kiev. Against Russia we played year ago in Krynica and we lost 3-6. Last time against Netherlands we played during World Championship 2009 IB in Torun and won 3-1.
Poland is not a favourite of EIHC Tournament in Sanok, but Wiktor Pysz and his team will do their best and try to make a surprise.
