New head coach, new players but the dream is the same and the Pannon Ice Hockey Cup would be the first step to return to the 'A' Pool!

 

 

Half year after the Swiss World Championship the Hungarian supporters can see the national team again in the Pannon Ice Hockey Cup. Ted Sator's team is going to play with Italy, Croatia and Slovenia from the 6th of November to the 8th of November in the Ifjabb Ocskay Gábor Icehall in Székesfehérvár.

 

Let's see our rivals! In 2010 Italy is going to play in the 'A' Pool. Our last game was in the Olimpic Qualification Tornament in Riga and Italy won 4:1. Slovenia and Croatia will be the members of the same Division I. group as Hungary. Last time Hungary defeated Croatia 6:1 in the Olimpic Pre-Qualification Tournament in Budapest but we lost against Slovenia 4:1 in one of a Division I. world chamionship match in 2007 in Ljubljana. An interesting fact is that time Team Slovenia's leader was the new Hungarian head coach Ted Sator.   

 

Before the tournament Sator said, the most important thing is to start to build a new team for the next year World Championship. He invited some very talented young players and some great non-Hungarian citizens as well. Martz is from Canada, Sikorcin is Slovakian and Mihály from Transsylvania is Romanian-American citizen but all of them has Hungarian parentage.
